Songfest '06 was a men's choral conference hosted by the University of Illinois Varsity Men's Glee Club. The conference took place Saturday, April 22nd, 2006 and concluded with a concert in Foellinger Great Hall at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

Attending schools included the Naperville Men's Glee Club, Notre Dame Men's Glee Club, and Purdue Men's Glee Club. Featured in the conference were guest clinicians, conductors, and special commissioned works composed and presented by Jackson and Almeda Berkey.

On Friday, April 21st, 2006, the day before the conference, there was a choral workshop for high school boys held in the Smith Recital Hall. This workshop included musical instruction and teaching methods from guest clinicians, individual high school ensemble performances, combined singing, and a special appearance by the Other Guys octet. Free audience observation was encouraged.

The University of Illinois Varsity Men's Glee Club and our director Dr. Barrington Coleman are proud to have hosted this event. It turned out to be a huge success!
